Entry Guidelines

General guidelines for all Pride Parade entries.
We would like to draw your attention to the rule that NOTHING be tossed or thrown, either from a vehicle or from a person walking in the entry.

Individuals may only pass out items directly to the public lining the sides of the parade route, and they must do this without delaying the parade in any way.

General Entry Information

Staging Area.Floats need to arrive in the staging area, at Robson and Bute, by 10:30am. All 150 entries are arranged in rows, on either side of the road. Participants are asked to stay close to the curb, to allow room for emergency vehicles and Parade personnel.

Parade Schedule:

• 7:00 am City closes streets along the Parade route, any cars remaining will be towed.
• 10:30 am The first floats arrive in the Staging Area.
• 11:40 am The police motorcycle drill team will leave to clear the Parade route.
• 12:00 pm Parade begins!
• 12:50 pm First floats arrive in the Dispersal Area.
• 1:50 pm Last float leaves the Staging Area.
• 2:30 pm Street cleanup begins at the Staging Area.
• 2:40 pm Last float arrives in the Dispersal Area.
• 4:00 pm Street cleanup finishes, streets are reopened.

Entry Specific Information

Check-in Times:

• 10:30 am Entry captains and vehicles must arrive by this time.
• 11:30 am Marchers must arrive by this time.

Parade Route

The parade route starts at the intersection of Robson St. and Bute St., moves along Robson St. to Denman, down Denman to Beach, along Beach and Pacific, finishing at Jervis St.
